Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology of the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She was credited with launching contemporary research on children's memory of eyewitnesses and the role of children as victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received numerous prizes and grants. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the world about policies and studies pertaining to the care of children who are victims through the justice system. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of a variety of professional organizations, for example, The Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
