Anika Noni Rose is an American actress and performer. She is most famous for her role as Tiana Disney's first African American character as Tiana Disney's first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. Disney Legends named the actress as one of their 2011 stars. Rose was an Oscar-winning actor who was Lorrell in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born on September 6th, 1972) is a songwriter as well as an American actress. Best known as the voice of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog, the very first African American Disney princess. In 2011, she was honored as an Disney Legend. She also has a starring part, playing Lorrell Robinson, as Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2007) which was nominated for an Academy Award. And she is the jukebox player LaVerne Ganner on Starz's series Power. Also, she is known for her performance in the theatre, particularly due to her roles in the lead role of Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger, who played The Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Pivarnick has been a reality television star in America since joining the top cast of the M.T.V. show Jersey Shore. series Jersey Shore in 2010 for some episodes of season one as well as season two.
